Read regular updates and see photos of all our super home learning here
Friday 3rd April – The end of another week and a new revamp to the Mango Class page. I have had so many lovely photos to share each day that it’s taking too long to scroll down to see them all. From today, I will add new posts and photos to the top of the page so you can keep up to date on what we’ve all been up to.
I see that quite a few of you are racing through your spelling books so when I am in school next week I will email those of you that have requested the next sets / books. In the meantime why don’t you try some of these from the statutory list for years 5 and 6?
If you like minecraft you maybe interested to know that Mojang have launched an education edition that can be downloaded for free (Search minecraft education edition). It has many different challenges that can be played. Please check with your adult before you download it but Will had fun on it this morning. Let me know how you get on?
Have a good weekend
Morning message from Mrs Isaac

Wellbeing and Online Safety
Please remember it is important to look after your own wellbeing while we aren’t at school. I bet some of you have been feeling a little bit strange, worried or even a bit frightened about what is going on in the news and wondering why we aren’t at school. Remember to talk to an adult if you are worried. (Grown-ups please check the home page for recommended links to support your child). Why not try Cosmic Kids Yoga at home to help calm your feelings. The pack in the link below also has lots of activities to help you with your feelings.
You may be using the internet a lot more too so it’s important to remember how to stay safe online. Work through the Online Safety section on Espresso (under computing) where there are lots pf activities to remind you of how to stay safe online. Perhaps you could teach a family member about being safe online?
(Grown-ups please check the home page for recommended links to support your child).
Look out for the next home learning coming soon

Hello Mango Class! Monday 30th March
Well I can’t believe it’s been over a week since we were last at school. Who has been finding it a bit strange?
I have loved getting your emails and photos telling amd showing me what you have been up to.
Will and I are getting into more of a routine this week which is helping with everyone being at home. I have been setting myself small challenges and this week is to see if I can add music to our class web page as we were supposed to be doing something special on Wednesday … Can you remember what it was?
I was emailed a challenge for you guys today from the Hastings Half Marathon people… I’ll upload it so if you want to try it, you can.

Speak soon Mrs Isaac
Hello from Mrs Isaac
I hope you are all well and making the most of the lovely weather in these strange times by playing outside in your gardens, enjoying spending time with your families and relaxing with activities you enjoy.
Will and I have been busy walking our dog, playing games and doing some TT Rockstars. We joined Joe Wicks yesterday for his PE class; it certainly got our hearts beating! We have watched the next episode of His Dark Materials and can’t wait for the next installment.
I have recieved some photos of the work you have been completing and I will be putting them on here for you all to see…
Can you get a photo emailed to me to go on here so we can see how you have been spending your time?
If you send me anything please indicate whether you are happy for it to be uploaded to website or not.
Anyway stay safe everyone and hopefully we’ll see each other again soon.
From Mrs Isaac

Welcome to Mango Class
We are a class of year 5 and 6 children who enjoy making our learning challenging and fun!
Homework is usually set each week. We also encourage children to read regularly at home and practise their times tables up to x12. Having a secure grasp of the times tables makes a big difference to children’s mathematical success. There are lots of ways to practise them, for example saying them, writing them down and online games.
The children should have their PE kit in every day because we do a range of PE sessions across the week.
Mango Class are cooking again
On Friday 31st January the children in Mango Class were cooking again, which the help of Mrs Piggott. The children had to make and cook pitta bread and then a dip to go with it. This time Mrs Barry was our taste tester, she said all of them tasted nice and even went back for seconds.
